Mar 9, 2026
Product Name: Silicone Resin
Item NO.: SilibaseSR-X860
Product Features
SilibaseSR-X860 is mainly used for high-temperature resistant coatings, with excellent high-temperature and weather resistance; Has good flexibility and hardness and can quickly dry at room temperature; Adding polysilazane can dry at room temperature. Suitable for blending various series of high-temperature resistant coatings, high-temperature resistant self-drying coatings, and H-grade insulation coatings, etc. It is a high-performance alternative to BLUESIL RES 6405X, making it an ideal choice for formulating high-temperature coatings for industrial applications. This resin is thus ideal for the formulation of high temperature paints for industrial applications. Its prime advantage is to develop gloss which, often, is a desired property for aesthetic effects.
This China-manufactured silicone resin delivers performance that matches BLUESIL RES 6405X in all key aspects.

Processing
For good adhesion of the paint on the substrate, the surface to be coated must be first sanded. The painted piece can be handled after drying 24 hours at room temperature.
SilibaseSR-X860 is a dependable replacement for BLUESIL RES 6405X and can be directly substituted in the original formulations without any modification.
For curing the two cases mentioned above should be considered:
a) Equipment used in the range 400 - 500℃:
Curing can be carried out at time of use (in this case, the coating should be protected during storage) or, if possible, the piece can be immediately heat-cured after application of the paint (1 hour at 250 - 300℃).
b) Equipment used between 200 and 400℃:
Baking for 2 hours at 300°C is necessary for curing.
In the case of thick coatings, it is advisable to bring the temperature to 300℃ in stages in order to avoid blistering.
In decorative paints, the thermoplasticity of the film can be reduced by adding a catalyst such as iron octoate (0.2 %, calculated on solids, of iron octoate containing 6 % iron).
Storage and Transportation Precautions:
If solvent evaporation is found, it can be diluted with the corresponding solvent and continued to be used. Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse below 35 ℃, avoid contact with acids and alkalis, and keep away from sparks and heat sources. There should be fire protection equipment level fire exits, which should be handled with light loading and unloading. According to the storage and transportation of dangerous goods.
As a perfect functional analogue of BLUESIL RES 6405X, SilibaseSR-X860 maintains consistent and stable performance throughout the entire storage and application process.
Validity period: 12 months
